Cross-country skiing has a long and remarkable tradition in the town of Pernink. The local ski club was founded in 1964 as TJ Sokol Pernink under the leadership of coach Jiř&iacute; Hol&yacute;. Already in its early years, the club hosted major sporting events, such as the District Winter Olympics featuring cross-country races, ski jumping, and slalom.
Throughout the following decades, many outstanding athletes helped shape the club&rsquo;s legacy as well as the history of Czech skiing. Among them were Pavel Schreiber, Gerhard Krakl, Egon Hofmann, Josef Graul&iacute;k, Rudolf H&ouml;hnl, Rudolf Hol&yacute;, Petr Let, Marian Panak, and Anton&iacute;n Sedl&aacute;k. These competitors represented Czech cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and biathlon during the 1970s&ndash;1990s and continue to inspire young athletes.
Sedleck&yacute; kaolin is proud to support LK Pernink and contribute to the development of youth sports in the region. We believe that preserving and nurturing local sporting traditions is an investment in future generations.
